We've been regular visitors to Orkney since 1969 when we came as students from York University on an archaeological excavation. Our most recent visit was in 2009, and some of my photos can be seen here: summer 2009.

Ship plotter on the EMEC site is very useful - you can see the Hamnavoe approaching and then pick her up on the Stromness Harbour webcams. Now if someone were to set up a webcam in St Margaret's Hope I could watch the Pentalina as well ...
