Andrew Taylor![]() Andrew had to be rescued by a US Army Medical helicopter after a recent fall (16 July 2000) while hiking in a snowfield on the mountaintops near Snoqualamie Pass, about 50 miles east of Seattle. He suffered head injuries, and some brain damage after landing head first on some rocks, and was flown to the Seattle Trauma Hospital. He is making a good recovery, and intends to spend a quiet summer relaxing before gently returning to work. |
![]() Andrew soon re-entered the vertical plane, and has recently (August) been on a ten-day camping/hiking holiday in British Columbia with his family. Still suffering from a lack of mobility in his left arm, and some considerable pain, he is undergoing intensive physiotherapy. This photo shows him at a lab picnic, 3 days after his release from hospital, showing accident photos to colleagues. |
